Not Going To Be The Same Around Here

After 16 1/2 years, Radio & Records is losing its leader, as president/publisher Erica Farber (pictured) announced she'll depart on Jan. 30. "For 16 1/2 years, I have had the pleasure of working with an amazing team of individuals while serving an industry that I absolutely love," Farber told the staff. "This has been an incredible ride. And like a like a rollercoaster, it has been full of ups and downs and many curves, but it has always been exciting!"

R&R will be integrated into the Entertainment Group at Nielsen Business Media. Howard Appelbaum, publisher of Billboard and VP of entertainment for Business Media, will add R&R to his responsibilities.

It's still business as usual here -- and also there are some new additions to better serve you as well: Starting with the Jan. 9 issue, R&R has begun running an Air Talent column, which launched with George Weber -- who used to work at WABC/New York and is now an anchor with ABC News Radio -- authoring a piece on the changing role of air talent. Check it out on Page 19 of last week's issue.
