Being the top-rated station is a programmer's goal, but the sales team needs to translate those numbers into revenue for that station to be considered successful. BIA Financial Network recently released the 2007 radio advertising revenue calculations, and here are the top-performing gospel stations in millions. The 2006 revenues are in parentheses.

1. Radio One's WPPZ (Praise 103.9)/Philadelphia: $9.8 ($11.8)
2. Radio One's WPZE (Praise 97.5)/Atlanta: $5.5 ($5.6)
3. Radio One's WTLC-AM (AM 1310 the Light)/Indianapolis: $5.3 ($5.7)
4. Radio One's KROI (Praise 92.1)/Houston: $5.1 ($4.0)
5. Radio One's WPZS (Praise 100.9)/Charlotte: $4.3 ($4.0)
6. Radio One's WPRS (Praise 104.1)/Washington: $4.3 ($9.7)
7. Clear Channel WGRB-AM (Inspiration 1390 AM)/Chicago: $4.1 ($4.1)
8. Clear Channel's WCAO-AM (Heaven 600)/Baltimore: $2.7 ($2.4)
9. Radio One's WNNL (the Light 103.9)/Raleigh: $2.5 ($2.5)
